Marketing automation with Mautic

We use Mautic on this website, an open source marketing automation tool. It is an analysis and tracking software for the allocation and storage of usage data (including browser used, last page visited, length of stay). The software uses this information to individualize our marketing efforts and better target each user's interests. The software also helps us to better evaluate the success of individual marketing measures. For this we have signed an "AV contract" with our hoster for the marketing tool Mautic.

Mautic is hosted on the same server as our website in Germany The data will not be passed on to third parties. We collect and process data with Mautic only to the extent necessary to achieve our business objectives with you.

The way Mautic works is expressed through:
a) Email marketing and campaigns: With so-called e-mail marketing, personalized e-mails are sent to you. These are partly based on usage behavior on the website, when reading our e-mails and when interacting with the links contained therein. Furthermore, we also send e-mails as part of campaigns. Allocation to campaigns is done through segmentation and tagging.

b) Personalized web links: In order to recognize whether, for example, a user calls up a link from an e-mail, Mautic adds a unique identifier to these links, which has previously been assigned to an individual user profile.

c) IP address: The IP address currently used by website visitors is transmitted to us each time they visit our website. Mautic uses these to recognize users of the website.

d) Reports: Reports evaluate performance data on the collected data and display it in aggregated form.

The data collected in the process are:

  • the activity on our website
  • Number of page views and dwell time of the website visitor
  • the click path of the respective visitor
  • Downloads of files provided through the website
  • Landing page visits
  • Email opens from newsletters and campaigns

In the context of a registration on the website, the provider collects through the use of Mautic:
  • Contact information (such as name, postal or e-mail address, phone number)
  • Business contact information (such as your job title, the name of a business, business email address, telephone or fax number).
  • The IP address of the terminal from which the use of the website takes place (a sequence of digits that identifies your current computer connection on the Internet).

The released data is clearly visible to the user by filling in a form. The data required to submit the form is marked.

Mautic is only used if you have expressly given your consent to the use of so-called "first-party cookies" when using our website for the first time. You may revoke this consent at any time by contacting the person we have named above. In this case, all tracking data collected by means of Mautic will be deleted immediately.

Social media and data protection

In today's world, social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Co. are important in areas like marketing & analytics, customer acquisition, customer care and service. We, too, therefore rely on the offerings of various social networks.

For each interaction (see below for details) with the social channels, the data protection provisions of the respective operators must be applied; the most important ones are listed below:

There you will also find information on privacy settings for the respective accounts. Some social media networks record various information as long as you are logged in as a user, for example which web pages are called up. For details, please refer to the individual privacy policy and terms of use of the respective social network. If you want to prevent this, please check your privacy settings of the respective operators. You can also log out from the network and delete their cookies.

Social media on our websites

On our websites you will find various places where you can interact with the social media channels and, for example. be able to share content.

If you use the share functions and in particular if you are logged in with your account of the respective social channel, various information is sent to the operator of the channel or tapped by them and linked to your user account. The third-party providers may also set cookies. Please refer to the respective data protection provisions and settings (see above). Please take into account that the social networks for example track your browse behavior as long as you are logged in.

Communication on social media channels

In the context of marketing measures, customer loyalty and customer service, there is also communication and, where applicable, data exchange on various social networks, such as e.g., "social networks", "social networks", "social networks" and "social networks" on our Facebook page, will take place.

The data protection provisions of the respective channels also apply here (see above for details). In the interest of your privacy, we ask you not to send us any sensitive data within these channels (e.g. as a comment), as we have no influence on how the individual networks handle this data. We will be happy to contact you directly by email or phone instead.

If you provide us with information about you and your request (e.g. name, contact details, etc.) within the social networks, which is relevant for us and our business activities (e.g. for contacting and initiating a customer relationship, support requests, etc.), we process this as described in the section "Contacting".

Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion

The controller uses the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook on this website/app for the purpose of analysis, optimization and economic operation of the online offer.

The operator of this service is Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are a resident of the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook").

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement and thereby offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law(https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active. .

With the help of the Facebook pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors of the online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, the Facebook pixel is used to display the Facebook ads placed by the responsible party only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in this online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that the responsible party transmits to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). The Facebook pixel is also used to ensure that the Facebook ads of the responsible party correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not have a harassing effect. Furthermore, the effectiveness of Facebook ads can be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to Eturnity AG's website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

The processing of the data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's data use policy. Accordingly, general guidance on the display of Facebook Ads, can be found in Facebook's Data Use Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. To set which types of advertisements are displayed to you within Facebook, you can visit the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there regarding the settings for usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

You may further object to the use of cookies used for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page(https://optout.networkadvertising.org) and additionally the U.S. website(https://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices).
