The vision behind Eturnity team
Our story began with a vision sparked by firsthand experience.
At the heart of our company is a story that’s as relatable as it is inspiring. Our CEO, Matthias, didn’t start behind a desk—he started on rooftops. As a former solar installer himself, like our customers, he navigated the real-world challenges of renewable energy installation.
Matthias’s journey began with an electrical engineering degree from ETH Zurich, followed by building hydropower plants and electrifying villages in Asia. During a combined hydropower and solar project in Laos, he realized solar’s untapped potential in Europe—a vision that stayed with him. After his time at ABB, where he gained insights into corporate structures and drive units for high speed trains, Matthias focused on renewables again.
Selling, planning, installing, and troubleshooting solar projects himself, he saw firsthand the mountain of repetitive tasks that were slowing down progress. His solution? Leverage software to simplify processes and empower teams.
With that vision, Eturnity was born. Today, our company is all about automation, digitalization, and making renewable energy more accessible and efficient. The same drive that led Matthias to scale rooftops now fuels our mission to help the world’s energy transition happen faster and smarter. Because when you’ve lived the work, you’re better equipped to change it for the better.
